Thirteen

Sun shone through the window, filling the room with its light and warmth. I threw an arm over my face, trying to block out as much of it as possible. I was exhausted and it was completely my fault.

After our first romp had ended, Adrian and I spent a while cuddling. Then we got cleaned up just in time for me to fall back on the bed with his cock lodged in my ass once more. Round two lasted much longer than the first and by the time we were finally asleep, it was well past three in the morning. And now, I was going to pay for it. I was sore from head to toe, especially my ass, but in the best way possible. That kind of pain was something I wouldn’t mind experiencing every day. It made me feel alive and also like a bit of a slut, which I loved.

I turned over, wiggling my butt backwards until I was pressed up against Adrian once more. He didn’t wake, but instinctively snaked an arm over my waist and pulled me close. He was warm and my entire room was filled with his perfect scent. I wanted nothing more than to just lay there all day, wrapped in his arms in perfect comfort.

However, the thought was driven from my mind by a low buzz from the bedside table. I pulled my arm away, looking over at my phone. The screen was lit up and Kael’s name was displayed at the top. Why would he be calling me at such an hour? He was never up this early.

Reaching across the bed, I snagged it and hit the green button, lifting it to my ear.

“Hello?” I asked, my voice gravelly.

“Coop! There you are! I’ve been trying to get a hold of you all morning.”

His tone was panicked, sending a streak of fear through my body. Kael didn’t act like this. He was always cool and collected, especially around the pack.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, the grogginess suddenly gone.

“There’s been another attack,” Kael replied. He paused for a moment. “And this time it was fatal.”

My heart sank as his words fell on my ears. This wouldn’t bode well for the Tellurian pack.

“Was it the same monster?”

“We aren’t sure. Can you get Adrian and come down to the public beach north of town?”

I glanced over at the bleary eyed man next to me blinking stupidly.

“Yeah, I can reach out to him.”

“We’ll need his help. Let him know it’s important.”

“Oaky, I’ll be there as soon as I can.”

“Please hurry.”

The phone line went dead and I lowered the dark rectangle back to the bed.

“Who… was that?” Adrian asked with a yawn.

“Kael. He… he said there’s been another attack.”

Adrian’s face fell, but he didn’t say a word.

“And he wants you there to help.”

He stared at me for a long moment, the sheets slipping down his chest as he shifted uncomfortably.

“Okay,” he nodded. “I’ll go.”

“Thank you.”

Twenty minutes later we were pulling up to the beach in my truck. Neither of us had a chance to shower or do any grooming.
